Let's Talk Spring '19 Trends
With a new season comes new trends (or the revamp of old trends). Today, let’s dive into a few Spring 2019 trends thanks to InStyle magazine. I decided to take their trend report as inspiration and put together looks based on what I had in my closet. Keep reading to see what I came up with!

Now, let’s be realistic, denim and bright colors will never disappear. And thank goodness for that because that’s what ‘teen beat’ is all about! Using Kelly from Saved By The Bell (uh one of the greatest shows in the 90s! Can I see a raised hand if you’re on the same page?) as inspiration, I knew I wanted to do a denim on denim ‘fit with pops of color. I scored a bright bodysuit on sale at Forever 21.

I Pulled out some denim jeans and threw on my denim jacket to finish off this look! Not to mention I HAD to pull out the white canvas shoes because come on, would this even be a look without them? I love how a white shoe really gives an outfit an added boost. It makes the look cleaner and has you looking just a bit more put together.

While I’ve never been on a safari, I am feeling the cargo pant trend! I like the sass + edge it provides. I paired my olive pants with a white cropped top. I was thinking of doing a blog post dedicated to these pants because I like them so much! Let me know in the comments below if that’s something you’d be interested in! While I did finish this look with my canvas shoes, I think some strappy high heels would look just as good!

I will say, I was a fan of the baby-doll dresses a few years ago. After perusing the looks on this page this blue dress immediately popped in my head! I bought this dress from SheIn YEARS ago and I will say, I am surprised it has held up so well. It’s a bright cobalt blue with pockets and little slits along the neckline. I grabbed some inspiration from Prada’s picture on this page and threw on some knee-high socks and my black booties to match!

I like the carefree breezy outfits that is bohemian. With Spring I wanted to incorporate more rompers in my wardrobe. They’re so easy to throw on and you have a full outfit without worrying about putting together different articles of clothing. It was chilly during this shoot so I threw on my nude cardigan that I thought worked really well with the dark blue romper. For footwear, sported these strappy sandals. Let me just say, it feels great to have toes out!

Okay, I’m going to be honest…I had a hard time with this trend and even thought about disregarding it altogether. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a frou frou type of girl. It wasn’t until the very last minute where this black piece popped into my head. It was deep in my swimsuit drawer, which let’s face it, hasn’t seen the light of day for MONTHS so it was luck that I merely remembered it. I think I’ve actually worn this thing ONE TIME and it was during a boat cruise. So, how do you think I did? Did I deliver frou frou??
