It's A Vibe Playlist
Hello everyone! Today we’re talking one of my favorite topics…MUSIC. I’m the type of person that COMPLETELY vibes off of music. Music can change my mood and it can also get me IN the mood – FOR WRITING (nothing nasty there friends haha). I love reading playlist posts from other bloggers because it gives me the opportunity to find new artists or songs I probably wouldn’t have come across. The latest playlist I’ve created and is constantly on repeat is called GIMMIE ONE MORE NIGHT. It’s on Spotify so if you’re bored check out my Spotify and see if anything interests you.
As always my playlists include Hip Hop/R&B and a sprinkle of Pop when I’m feeling like I need some major mainstream vibes. GIMMIE ONE MORE NIGHT is played when I just need that extra hype to get that confidence back up – throw on my most flattering jeans and remind myself that ‘hey, I got this!’
Anyway, enough babbling let’s get to some songs!
No better way to start than with
IT’S A VIBE by 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz, Jhene Aiko
because come on, this playlist? It’s a vibe. 😉
I am all about this song. I don’t know why but I like playing this when I’m getting dressed lol! The beat and vibe just amps me up! What is your go-to ‘getting ready in the morning’ song?
Speaking of amping me up, another song and my initial favorite on this playlist is WOW by Post Malone! This is that single you need in your life as you’re driving with your windows down, maybe on a road trip, maybe on your way to your way to work, it’s all you.
Kehlani has been a favorite artist of mine for some time now. I’ll admit I didn’t find her until she became mainstream and I know there were so many Kehlani fans back when she was basically an underground artist. But I am a full fledge fan now, honey! I was so disappointed when I found out she was doing a concert in Guam just a few months after I left!! Ugh, still butt hurt about that…
Hah! Anyway, she did come out with a new album called While We Wait. I immediately initiated NIGHTS LIKE THIS (featuring Ty Dolla $ign) and NUNYA (featuring Dom Kennedy) into this playlist! Both songs just have me vibing to Kehlani’s voice. She is a great singer (in my lovely opinion) and I love the somewhat rasp in her voice. It really adds to her sound.
So, it took me a minute to grasp DaniLeigh’s song LIL BEBE. When I heard it on Spotify I wasn’t too impressed but decided to look it up on YouTube. I watched the music video and vibed with it so much! Uh plus, Trey Songz has a cameo in it, I mean come on, Trey Songz? … SOLD! Have you ever had those moments where you weren’t feeling a song but everything changed when you saw the music video? OR is that just me??? Haha! She reminds me of Kehlani. I feel like this is the song you would blast as you and your girls are heading to the club LOL.
I can go on and on about songs but I’ll stop here. I’ll be doing a 90s playlist for my next one so don’t forget to come back and check out what songs I STILL love from the 90s.
No better way to say it than how Nick Cannon did in NOBODY ELSE – “Love you like the 90s but I do you like the 80s.” Check out the song on Youtube 😉. I had it on this playlist but it looks like it’s been removed from Spotify.
Until next time dolls! Let me know if you’ve heard of any of these songs or share links to your favorite playlists in the comments!
